Dinner at Beijing Lou Johor Bahru

Recently, I was invited for dinner at Beijing Lou in Johor Bahru, the food was very good and so very impressive but the jam from Singapore to Johor Bahru during the weekend was so terrible , stuck at custom for 3 over hours, the worse thing was no toilets at the custom, had to pass Johor custom and find petrol station or cafe for toilets, OMG.

This banquet was so impressive, need two servers to carry the whole display to the table. Contain of appetizers, salad, seafood like abalone, crabs, oysters, etc. Tasted so delicious, look so impressive, wow and very instagram worthy.

The above and below dish are from one fish, the soup was made from the fish head while the rest of the fish meat was stir fry.

Lastly, dessert was coconut pudding, was so tasty and good. First time I had this and I like it so much.

No idea about the price of the above dinner, was treat from relative, with our strong Singapore Dollars, guess it is really worth but the traffic jam at custom is very horrible.

Chinese New Year 2018 Dinner at Soup Restaurant

Forgotten about posting this Chinese New Year Dinner at Soup Restaurant, and is already March, hahaha.

We were group of 11 , think my sister ordered too much food.

Yusheng (before and after adding the crackers), raw salmon fish

Magic Agar Agar

I love making agar agar but always does not have much time to do it. So many ideas and inspirations taken from the internet. Recently, made some magic agar agar for the Chinese New Year festive.

Firstly boil the agar agar with coconut milk.

Then divide into four or five portions, add different colour to each portion.

Pour into favourite moulds or container, chilled them. (Can cut into cubes if from container). Boil another plain(no colour) agar agar solution but without coconut milk.

Unmould the agar agar.

Pour some plain agar agar into the mould and arrange the chilled(or already set) agar agar into the mould. Repeat for each layer, no need to be neat. On completion, placed the agar agar in the fridge to set.

Unmould the agar agar, they looked very pretty and I am very satisfied and happy with the success of making the agar agar.

Prima Tower Revolving Restaurant

Started 2018 with lunch on 1st January 2018 with siblings and our spouses (10 or us). Been a long time since I ate at Prima Tower Revolving Restaurant. Yes, the restaurant can revolve. The view outside was fantastic, can see Sentosa and the cable car.

Ordered 5 bowls of porridge to share among 10 of us, the lean pork porridge with century eggs was very good and delicious.

Peking duck - the crispy skin wrapped in the rice flour crepes while the duck meat cooked with the noodles
