Yishun Hawker Centre

Yishun Hawker Centre located at Yishun Avenue 11, is newly opened in September. It is a 800 seat hawker centre with high ceiling and is not stuffy unlike those older hawker centre.

Diners can pay for their food and drinks using either cash or a mobile application which stores credits. Those using the app currently get a 10 per cent discount on their bill.

I ordered the har cheong gai(prawn paste chicken wing) from Ah Tan Wing. It's quite nice and delicious, if only their chilli is a bit more spicy.

Hubby ordered the ngoh hiang (variety of fried food) and the mee hoon(Rice vermicelli)

We paid 50 cents for deposit when we get a tray from the respective stall to carry our food to our table. When we return the tray at the designated return point, an automated system will dispense the deposit to us. No need to pay deposit if we do not need the tray.

Hawkerman at Singpost Centre, Paya Lebar.

Hawkerman as a one-stop destination for your favourite hawker grub. It features three popular brands under one roof: fried chicken ,fried chicken chain Tenderfresh, Hokkien Mee stall Warong Kim’s (originally called Kim’s Fried Hokkien Mee), and Ah Boy Popiah (a spin-off of Good Chance Popiah). Actor and TV host Ben Yeo’s Tenderfresh Group is behind this stylo-mylo air-conditioned 75-seat restaurant where you order and pay at the counter and collect your food when it’s ready. Read more from source.

Bao Ka Liao sharing platter at S$32.90 (feeds 2 or 3), it had seven items including Tenderfresh Signature Fried Half Spring Chicken, Warong Kim’s Hokkien Mee, and Ah Boy’s Hokkien Popiah.

I did not order the sharing platter, seems too much for 2 of us, we just ordered the famous 3.

Changi Airport Singapore Terminal 4 - Food Emporium

Changi Airport Terminal 4 was finally opened last month. The location was at the exact same spot as the old budget terminal which was tear down and replaced by the new terminal 4. Terminal 4 will serve both full-service and low cost carriers, and have an annual passenger movement capacity of 16 million. This would bring Changi Airport's total passenger capacity to 82 million per annum. Terminal 4 will mostly be self-service process of check-in, bag-drop, departure immigration as well as boarding at T4 will be automated, making it both seamless and efficient. Read more from official website.

Of course, since this is the food blog, I will focus on the food section in the terminal 4. Food Emporium is the food court in Terminal 4, the prices are not very expensive and affordable. They have many food stalls offering local food and they really looked good too.

I ordered by prawn noodle from Geylang Prawn Noodle Stall, no regret, the soup was really tasty with 2 and half big prawns, cost me $7.50 but really worth it.

Hubby ordered the nasi lemak from the malay food stall, it was good too.

Saw so many nice stalls and restaurants , will come again next time, to try them.

Tangs Market - Mini food court at basement of Tangs

Recently, was shopping in Tangs Orchard Road, saw a mini food court at the basement of Tangs. Was lured by the nice smell of the food there.

The smell was from the dry mee siam that someone else was eating. Could not resist the sight and smell of the dry mee siam, so I ordered one for myself for dinner. It was really good.

My sister had the Klang Bak Kut Teh, seems like a mini malaysian food court there. They even had Penang Char Kway Teow, etc.

Dinner at Curry Times, One KM Mall

Over the weekend, hubby and me had dinner at CurryTimes at One KM Mall, after that, we went to Geylang Serai to enjoy the festive mood. Next month will be the Hari Raya Puasa, so there's a bazaar in Geylang Serai(just like our Chinese New Year celebration in Chinatown), love going to bazaar, there's much happening going and the food and shopping were fantastic too.

Will post in my other blog about the bazaar.

Had dinner at Hong Lim Food Complex. Ji Ji wanton noodle at Block 531A, Upper Cross Street, Level 2 #02-49, Hong Lim Food Complex was really popular.

The noodles were quite good and springy. But also depends on individual taste and liking.
