Thermal Cooker Pot Recipe - Lotus Soup with carrots and peanuts

One of my favourite soup and is easy to make. Lotus with carrots and peanuts.





Peanuts take a longer time to soften so I decided to boil them first before cooking with the rest of the ingredients in the thermal cooker pot. 

The thermal cooker pot helps me save electricity and gas. Just boil the soup for about thirty minutes and let the thermal do the rest of the cooking by insulation.

Air Fry whole fish (sea bass) with the rotisserie bar (without rotating function) in an air fryer oven

First time trying to air fry a whole fish using the air fryer oven. I used the rotisserie bar to hang the fish as like I was hanging the laundry lol. Watch how I did it in the video below.

The fish tasted good and smell nice with the tumeric flavour.

Ala Carte Peranakan Buffet at Sun Cafe in Grand Pacific Hotel

One of my favourite place to have buffet is Sun Cafe. They always have promotion with credit cards or Safra Card. When we were there in beginning of January, the cards are POSB/DBS and UOB credit cards offerring 1 for 1 promotion. We used my hubby's Safra Card which gives us 50% discount on the buffet. So if there's odd number of people going for the buffet, the safra card is better.
We just have to tick for the food we want and the number of people or number of items. Do not tick wrongly. If indication for number of five people the item should be "one" so its five people * item = five pieces in one plate. If you indicate number of five people and five item will be five*five = 25 pieces in one plate hahaha. If unsure ask the staff for help to explain.

As we are only two of us, we indicate number of people "one" and tick on the number of item we want cause certain item (like soup), my hubby do not take. (eg soup one, curry chicken two, etc etc)
The serving and plating looks good.

Pork Ribs with Pineapple Curry
French Beans with silver fish

Laksa again - it tasted so good.

We can ordered as many as possible as it was unlimited but we could not eat that much hahaha.

Air Fried Terriyaki Salmon and Air Fried Luffa with prawns with the air fryer oven

Still experimenting with my new air fryer oven, today made two dishes at the same time using the air fryer oven. 

Firstly, I preheat the air fryer oven at 180 degrees celsius for ten minutes. Then I marinated the fish with terriyaki sauce (watch the video).
Preparing the second dish, cut some luffa and add some prawns to it and season with some light soya sauce and sesame oil. Did not add any water, the gravy created by the luffa moisture during air frying.
Wrapped the luffa with prawns in parchment paper to create a parcel like. 

Air fry both dishes at 180 degrees celsius for 15 minutes, after 15 minutes the fish was cooked and smell great. The luffa is still not soft enough to my liking, decided to air fry the luffa for another ten minutes but removed the cooked fish first.
