Hansik Restaurant - Korean Food

Found a small cozy Korean Restaurant on the second floor of Heartland Mall next to Kovan MRT Station. It was run by the entire Korean Family. I love the ambience of the restaurant and the food is good too. Be prepared to wait for tables during peak hours i.e. Lunch and Dinner.

They have special lunch meals too which are affordable.

Korean side dishes

Vegetables to go with the BBQ

BBQ Rib Eye Beef

Nonya memories at Heartland Mall Kovan

Been a long time since I blog in this food blog. Had nonya lunch with sister a week ago. Found this little nonya restaurant at Heartland Mall near Kovan MRT Station.

We had the ayam buah keluak that comes wtih steamed rice.

We also ordered the chap chye and told the chef not to cook too salty. It turned out good.

Hor Pow with pork - fried beancurd filled with sweet roasted pork, cucumbers and cut red chillies.

For dessert we had pulut hitam with yam. I prefer it without yam. I should have ordered the durian pengat instead.

Lunch at Oasis Restaurant

Been a long time since I ate at Oasis Restaurant. The restaurant used to be at Kallang but shifted to Toa Payoh. I love eating their taiwanese porridge.

We had black bean promfret, sambal kangkong, chye poh omelette, fresh cockles, claypot seafood tofu and one dish that I did not take photo is the crispy fried chicken wings

Yummy - wanted to go there again.

Snack Time

Had kueh pie tee with my bestfriend at a malaysian cafe in Orchard Road. It tasted good but chendol was a bit too sweet for us. It has lots of gula melaka (a kind of brown sugar), our Singapore version of chendol has coconut milk instead. We still prefer our own local version. But I must say their coffee is thick and very good.

Moon Cake Agar Agar Mould

I am so happy that I found the moon cake agar agar mould in Penang. I cant find them in Singapore.

They are sold at RM10.00 for three. There are other types of mould too but I did not get cause I got so many moulds at home already...lol

Not advertising for her but just in case readers happen to be in Penang and wanted to know where the shop is, the street and shop is just behind (not inside) the wet market (i.e. Chowrasta)

Seah Imm Hawker Centre

Yesterday, hubby and me went to Seah Imm Hawker Centre for lunch. Although the weather is so hot but surprising the hawker centre is not so stuffy and hot. It is quite spacious and not crowded at that time when we were there. Hubby had nasi brani and it costs S$4.50 I had Ayam penyat (fried chicken rice) and costs me S$4.00 There are cheaper food at the hawker centre, if I am not mistaken the cheapest is about S$2.50. You can see the hawker centre is very airy and spacious.
