Char Siew (BBQ Pork)

I found this recipe from this blog. She can cook really well. I tested and it works. But I used lean meat cause I dont like fats. It is so easy, just marinated the pork earlier, keep them in the fridge and take them out before dinner, pop into the oven and you can have them for dinner. I think I want to upgrade my oven ...hahaha.

Hawker Food

Looked what hubby and me have for lunch at Whampoa Hawker Centre(non air conditioned).

The Char Kway Teow (Fried Noodles) is so tasty and yummy, better than those sold in air conditioned food court. These old hawker centres are run by old timer and their food are still so good. Noticed how clean the tables are, the hawker centre has been upgraded and the tables and stools are all brand new.

The above photo is popiah - quite similar to spring roll but these are not deep fried, the skin (made from rice flour) are steamed. You can read more about popiah from wikipedia. This is a very healthy dish.

Dried Mee Pok - dried means without soup (you can ordered dried or soup). Mee Pok is a kind of yellow, flat noodle. They cooked the noodle and add sauce /chilli and some ingredients like minced meat, vegetables, fish ball, etc and mixed them up together...yummy.
