1 for 1 Buffet at Holiday Inn Window on the Park Singapore

Hubby and me had an early pre christmas buffet lunch at Holiday Inn Window on the Park. Hubby had this voucher that entitled us for a 1 for 1 buffet lunch, means we only paid for 1 diner.

It was an international buffet and I did not take photos of all the dishes.

Deep fried chicken wings in shrimp paste

Sambal Fish

Baby bok choy with mushroom, there's more vegetables that I did not take photo of.

Mapo Tofu

Ee Fu Noodles

Chicken Honey Ham and assorted vegetables.

Prawn noodles

Chocolate Fondue

Ingredients for the fondue

Had a great lunch cause all my favourites.

Salted Vegetable Duck Soup - yummy

Durian Pengat - loved it so much - I got two bowls of it.

Assorted desserts - love the blueberry cake

Ice Cream and got the fondue ingredients on stick but did not like to dip them in the chocolate fondue

Canton Paradise - Dim Sum

Yesterday, hubby and me had lunch at Canton Paradise at JCube Jurong East.

Their menu consists of dim sum and other ala carte dishes.

Decided to try these baked BBQ Pork with honey buns. They tasted so good, the pastry is thin and soft, I thought it would be hard as cookies but I was wrong.

The fillings are BBQ Pork with honey.

Had to try the huge wantan that comes with the wantan noodles soup. Was good.

Deep fried shrimp in bean curd skin.

Siew Mai

Chee Cheong fun (Rice Noodles)

My only wish was the dim sum would be steaming hot but it was just warm. I really like dim sum served steaming hot.

Red Star Restaurant Outram

Red Star Restaurant is one of the pioneer dim sum restaurant in Singapore. They still served the dim sum on trolley. What fond memories of my childhood when my parents used to bring the entire family out for dim sum almost every Sunday when dim sum started in Singapore in the 70s I think.

The restaurant is still as popular and we need to queue for tables but the queue is fast moving as the restaurant is quite big and has many tables.

The chee cheong fun is one of their signature dish and comes with black sauce. It was really good and best of all the food comes steaming hot. I likes dim sum served steaming hot.

Another favourite is the century egg porridge.

Steamed Glutinous Rice (only available on Sunday) and fried sotong (squid) balls.

Paper wrapped chicken wings (they would removed the papers for you for easy eating.)

Siew Mai and Har Gow

Deep fried spring rolls.

Char Siew Bao (BBQ Pork Bun)

The servers would push trolleys of dim sum around and all you have to do is gesture to them to come to your table.
