Onya Sayang - Peranakan/Nonya Food

We love to eat Peranakan Food, found this nice peranakan restauarant at Paya Lebar Square. Onya Sayang seems to have only two restaurants, one in Tampines Mall while the other at Paya Lebar Square. For the address, view at their website.

The restaurant is very cozy and located at the basement of Paya Lebar Square. Love their displays of peranakan cookware and clothings in their restaurant.

Lor Bak (Braised pork in dark soya sauce)

The food were very tasty and we were very satisfied with the food and the service of the staff too.

Lunch at Zichar Stall at Block 1 Balestier Hill Shopping Centre

Hubby and me had lunch at one of our favourite zichar stall at Block 1 Balestier Hill Shopping Centre (Opposite Thomson Medical Centre). This zichar stall was around for many decades, I used to work around here, that was more than 20 years ago, surprised the zichar stall is still around. They are famous for their beef kai lan, beef hor fun, etc.

Their har cheong gai (Prawn paste chicken) was really good and the aroma of the fried chicken is nice.

Sliced fish with scallion and ginger

Braised tofu

Their portion of food is really huge, price very reasonable. The total cost is around $25+ (I forgot the actual amount).

Dinner at Jack's Place.

The photos dont looked good cause the place was very dim and did not want to switch on my handphone's camera flash to disturb other diners.

Paid extra $5.80 for the set lunch that consists of the main course, soup of the day, garlic bread, dessert, coffee or tea.

I had the slipper lobster and chicken combo.

Hubby had the fish and chips

Buffet Town International Seafood Mixed Grill and Teppanyaki

Birthday dinner treat from son, buffet at Buffet Town International Seafood Mixed Grill and Teppanyaki. Best to make reservations, cause weekend the queue is quite long, we did not make reservation so queue for about 30 minutes. Think the price for weekday lunch buffet is really worth.

There's a lot more like local food, rojak, laksa, chicken rice, curry chicken, curry vegetables, etc but I did not take much photos. So do not misled by photos, there's more food varieties than those shown in my post.

The seafood section is really very popular among diners, crayfish, prawns, oysters, mussels, etc

Dessert corner, cakes, ice kachang, ice cream, cheng tng, green bean soup, etc (did not take much photos)

The Japanese section, satay and chilli crabs are really popular too. There's teppanyaki corner, pizza, etc.

For more details of the buffet price list, view from BuffetTown website.
