Pearl's Hill Garden Restaurant at Labrador Villa Road (relocated from Chin Swee Road)

 So glad to finally found Pearl's Hill Garden Restaurant at their new location. They had relocated from their old premises at Chin Swee Road to the new location at 1 Labrador Villa Road (just next to Labrador MRT Station).

I first visited the restaurant back in July 2024 and had actually went to their old location again but found that their restaurant was no longer in Chin Swee Road and I had no idea where they relocated and only found out their new location recently. Read my old post.       

The restaurant in new location at Labrador Villa Road was smaller but had spacious free parking lots just next to the restaurant.

We ordered their ice vegetables with fish skin.

Not in the menu (only in season when the fish head is available) - recommended by the staff

Highly recommended to visit this  restaurant for their very creative dishes.

Uncle Lee's Confectionery - Kaya Cake and Peanut Cake

First time I tried the cakes from Uncle Lee's Confectionery. Recommended by my sister, we chance upon the shop in Jalan Pisang.

Kaya Cake is very nice and fragrant and not too sweet. Better than those I tried from other bakeries.

This must be the best peanut cake I every ate, the cake was  so soft and as if it melted in my mouth. I loved it so much that I bought another cake at their pop up stall in Ang Mo Kio.

Highly recommended this cake to those with a sweet tooth haha.

YuCun Claypot Curry Fish Head at Sultan Gate

Continuing  our 2026 celebration with nice sumptous lunch at Yu Cun Claypot Curry Fish Head. Chinese New Year only starting in February but we already started tossing of Yusheng hahaha. 

Great feeling and very happy to be gathering with my siblings again.
First time, I dined at Yu Cun Curry Fish Head Restaurant. As usual my second sister was the organizer and she is really good to find good restaurant.

Myo Restobar at Oxley Tower - Lunch (Not sponsored)

My siblings and I had our usual makan session and this round, we decided to have lunch at Myo Restobar.

I remembered patronizing the Kia Hiang restaurant at International Plaza with my late mom many decades ago and suddenly we forgotten all about the restaurant till recently, one of my sibling found this restaurant again.

Their signature dish since few decades ago is the Claypot Chicken which my mom loved it and she actually cooked a similar dish at home. Instead of claypot, she steamed it and wrapped the whole chicken with wongbok (sorry I cant remembered her recipe hahaha).

Festive and Christmas Buffet at Cafe Mosaic located in Carlton Hotel Singapore

Another Christmas Buffet lunch with family at Cafe Mosaic located in Carlton Hotel. There are more varieties of food during christmas period. This is the second time I visited the cafe, the last time I came was non festive season.

Last week I had Turkey and honey ham, this week I am having Turkey and honey ham again hahaha.




















This fish in nonya sauce is popular, and finished fast but they replenished the dish fast too.








Love that there are so many different types of cakes and especially the log cake.

The price for today buffet lunch is S$98++ but there's  50% discount with several local credit card promotions.

Service at Cafe Mosaic is excellent and the staff clear the dirty plates fast too and they keep checking if we need any drinks (free flow of soft drinks), they will serve us the soft drink, in addition to the normal juices and coffee and tea located at the buffet area.
