Lunch at Old Airport Road Hawker Centre
Old Airport Road Food Centre is one of the best hawker centre/food centre in Singapore. If you are unsure which stall served the best food, just look out for the one with long queue during lunch time or dinner time, hahaha. But not to worry if you do not want to queue, most of the stalls sell very good food.I wont get bored coming here often for my meals, just too many stalls serving good food will tempt me coming here frequently.
Popiah (a kind of soft, thin paper-like crepe, spread with a sweet sauce and/or chilli with fillings of vegetables, eggs shreds, lots of grounded peanuts, grated turnips, etc.) - S$1.50 each.
Famous Fried Char Kway Teow - $5 each - stall is Lao Fu Zhi - very delicious kway teow not oily.
Freshly hand made Chee Cheong Fun - one roll with prawn ingredient, the other is with pig's liver - $2 per roll
Lao Fu Zhi Fried Char Kway Teow - look at the long queue - gotta queue about 20 to 30 mins.
This famous Lor Mee Stall is so popular that they sold out the Lor Mee in no time - sigh, never get to try each time I visited this food centre, must try during my next visit.

Curry Times Restaurant at Westgate Jurong
Was shopping in Westgate Mall in Jurong, when we chanced upon Curry Times Cafe run by Old Chang Kee (a very old and popular brand in Singapore - they used to sell curry puffs and still are selling the popular curry puffs all over Singapore.) You have to google for the website, wonder why the site do not allow me to copy and paste the link here.
Very cute cafe with display of a lot of nostalgic items from the past.
Hahaha even the staff were spotted wearing "samfu" (my mom used to sew her own samfu in the past). You can read the origins of the sam fu from infopedia.
There were lots of nice curry dishes in the menu but as we had already taken a heavy lunch, we just need some snack for our tea break.Had the set of one curry bun and one cup of coffee, I think was $2.
My friend had the bubur cha cha (a kind of coconut dessert).
Could not resist to take a cone of complimentary candy cookies.
Next time we would try the main curry dishes.

Bird nests drinks served in traditional tin mug
Ice ball popular during my childhood make a comeback, is actually like kachang but shaped into a ball

Crazy over curry - yummy
Wow I found a stall at a NTUC coffee shop near the hawker centre at Bedok Bus Interchange. The curry is really very good.
Curry Chicken goes well with rice or bread
Even the curry vegetables tasted so good.

Dinner at Ponggol Choon Seng Restuarant
Wow this photo reminds me of the old restaurant. This photo was taken off the poster of the restaurant at Turnhouse Road. I remember when I was very young, my parents would bring my siblings and myself to punggol end and have seafood at Ponggol Choon Seng Restaurant. I remembered tucking into the chilli crabs and having a great time there. Those were the days and we dont even mind that the restaurant was not air conditioned nor sitting by the roadside back then.
Today, this is one of their branch at TurnHouse Road (near Changi Chalets). It is quite small and can sit about 200 people only.
Oh I love this dish, it is crispy duck wrapped in the popiah skin. It is a whole duck and the waitress shredded the meat for us so that we can wrapped them into the skin easier and we need to spread some hoisin sauce on the skin first.
Oooo....you must try this. The dish consisted of prawn pancake and ngo hiang (chinese spring roll)....yummy.
Very soft tofu/bean curd.
Steam Garoupa
Pork Ribs with red wine
Sambal Kangkong/water spinach
Fried mee goreng...yummy
Stir fry asparagus with scallops and mushroom...oooolala...asparagus is my favourite.
