Carlton City Hotel Singapore - Plate Restaurant - Christmas Buffet

I am back again at Plate Restaurant in Carlton City Hotel. Was here back in September . This time, I brought along few friends and had Christmas buffet. The price was a bit higher due to festive season. But We opt for the senior citizen discount (50%) or DBS 1 for 1 card promotion.

Love christmas season, all the christmas trees and decorations.

The buffet food was good and the seafood as usual was fresh.

Was too late for my photo, the food almost gone but they replenish fast.

3 cups turkey (instead of 3 cups chicken), tasted good and the turkey meat is not tough.

Christmas season, of course there was the ham.

The lasksa is good with some lobster meat

Orh nee (yam paste)

Enjoyed the buffet as well as the company of my friends.

D'Life Signature at Chinatown Point Singapore

This is the second time that I visited this vegetarian restaurant. The food here are all vegetarian but the dishes looked as if they contained meat haha.

Claypot Buddha delight ( 罗汉斋)

Black Sauce Soon Hock Fish (is not real fish, vegetarian mock fish)

Sweet and Sour Meat (of course no meat is in this dish)

Yam Ring Kung Po

We  also ordered some take over food.

Will visit again as they have wide range of dishes that are vegetarian that we would like to try.

 

Harri Anns Nonya Table at Bugis Junction

Always love dining at HarriAnns Nonya Table , whenevery I shopped at Bugis Junction. Nonya cuisine is one of my favourite.

Seems to have some new menu since I last visited.

I ordered the Ayam Buah Keluak that comes with a drink.  It really tasted so good. Even the side archar is nice too with sweet and sour taste.

Also ordered the gluntinous rice set with drink and assorted kueh. Ever since the famous glutinous rice stall at Chinatown closed down, I found a replacement at Harri Ann for the white glutinous rice.

Will visit again and try the other new menu. 

Grand Shanghai Restaurant Singapore - celebrating my sister's 70th birthday

A very joyous occasion, my eldest sister celebrated her 70th birthday at Grand Shanghai Restaurant Singapore. As most of the siblings are in the golden age, the very reason why she celebrated in this restaurant (suggestion by me, as I had dined here before haha), cause we oldies loved the live music in the restaurant, singing mostly oldies songs, our favourite haha.

The stage looked so retro and good place to take photography.
