Shrove Tuesday - Tea Break
While doing my Chinese New Year visiting rounds, I stumbled across this nice cozy cafe in Toa Payoh near Braddell MRT Station.
The cafe was Shrove Tuesday and there's an explanation of the meaning of Shrove Tuesday on the wall inside the cafe.
There's quite a lot of nice food stated in the menu but as we had heavy lunch, did not order, will try the food when I visit again.
Like how little details like the teaspoon that comes with designs of musical instruments.
The waffle was really delicious with durian ice cream on the top.
Would definitely come back again.

Chinese New Year 2015 - Day 2 - Lunch with siblings and family
Day 2 of Chinese New Year, today went visiting at my brother's house where all the siblings and family gathered to exchange Chinese New Year's greetings and wishes.
The second day of the Chinese New Year, known as "beginning of the year" was when married daughters visited their birth parents, relatives and close friends. (Traditionally, married daughters didn't have the opportunity to visit their birth families frequently.) Read more from wikipedia
As my parents were not around anymore, so we prayed and make offerings to our parents.
After prayers, we had lunch, we ate what we offered to our parents, it was as if our parents are with us.
For desserts, we had mango pudding, I made them. :)

Chinese New Year 2015 - Day 1 - Lunch with in laws
Day 1 of Chinese New Year, had lunch with family and my in laws. Cooked some curry chicken, assorted vegetables, fried meehoon and deep fried some mini spring roll and cuttlefish balls. Ordered some pizza too.
For dessert, I made some mango pudding.
Chinese New Year is a very tired affair for me, had to spring clean the house, do marketing , cooked reunion dinner on the eve of Chinese New Year and cooked lunch for guests on Day 1 of Chinese New Year.
