Lunch at Bedok Interchange Hawker Centre

Recently had lunch at Bedok Interchange Hawker Centre. This is a new hawker centre replacing the old Bedok Hawker Centre.

It was so much spacious and had high ceiling.

Glad to see huge fan inside the centre. It was not airconditioned so that stalls rental will be kept low and food pries were be kept low too.

Duck Rice

Chicken Chop

Popiah

Dessert - green bean soup

Forgot the price of the food but was inexpensive.

High Tea at Coffee Club Wisma Atria

After shopping at Wisma Atria, a much needed rest is most welcome. Chanced upon Coffee Club to rest our tired feet and decided to have some coffee and cakes.

We ordered the afternoon treats for two at S$28++. The three tier consists of mini sandwiches, scones, french pastries, and coffee or tea.

Of course we did not finished all the pastries, so we had them packed to take away. Nice cozy place to have tea break.

Shrove Tuesday - Tea Break

While doing my Chinese New Year visiting rounds, I stumbled across this nice cozy cafe in Toa Payoh near Braddell MRT Station.

The cafe was Shrove Tuesday and there's an explanation of the meaning of Shrove Tuesday on the wall inside the cafe.

There's quite a lot of nice food stated in the menu but as we had heavy lunch, did not order, will try the food when I visit again.

Like how little details like the teaspoon that comes with designs of musical instruments.

The waffle was really delicious with durian ice cream on the top.

Would definitely come back again.

Chinese New Year 2015 - Day 2 - Lunch with siblings and family

Day 2 of Chinese New Year, today went visiting at my brother's house where all the siblings and family gathered to exchange Chinese New Year's greetings and wishes.

The second day of the Chinese New Year, known as "beginning of the year" was when married daughters visited their birth parents, relatives and close friends. (Traditionally, married daughters didn't have the opportunity to visit their birth families frequently.) Read more from wikipedia

As my parents were not around anymore, so we prayed and make offerings to our parents.

After prayers, we had lunch, we ate what we offered to our parents, it was as if our parents are with us.

For desserts, we had mango pudding, I made them. :)

Lunch at Food Republic Food Court City Square Mall Singapore

Love the beautiful interior designs at the Food Republic Food Court in City Square.

The designs looked like those shophouses in the vicinity.

One of my favourite food, thai food. :)

Hubby had sweet and sour fish fillet with rice, while I got the set (if I am not mistaken think is less than $10). My set consists of thai pineapple rice, with tomyum soup and a dessert. The fish cake was ordered separately.

Happy Valentine's Day

Chinese New Year is fast approaching in a few days time, so decided to bake some pineapple tarts instead of buying them from the supermarkets. Home baked is still the best.

Since today is Valentine's Day, I used a heart shape cookie cutter to shape some pineapple tarts. Happy Valentine's Day.

Guess I am getting on in age, could not bake as much as I wish, waiting for the pineapple tarts to cool down, before transferring them to containers.
