Oasis Taiwanese Porridge

Had a sumptuous lunch at The Oasis for some taiwanese porridge. This is a very old restaurant of about 34 years. I loved the food here. But the Oasis Building will be demolised soon. Sigh. I hope the restuarant will continue at somewhere else and not call it a day. Will miss the food.

Buffet at Ellenborough Cafe, Swissotel Merchant Court

Went to Ellenborough Cafe, Swissotel Merchant Court Hotel for buffet, they have I think more than 100 different varieties, just dont have the time or too full to try all the food (lol). They are so good, it is indeed worth the money. Best if you have the appropriate credit cards for the promotion. It is 15% discount for HSBC credit card and 3+1 UOB credit card (means 3 paying adults and the 4th free). But to check the latest promotion cause they the promotions alway changed.

And you must try the durian pudding, it is so good and I had two bowls serving, wish to go more but then there are so many desserts (hot and cold) to try (lol).I did not get the chance to take photos of other food cause I am the only one taking photos and the crowds are slowly coming in and I am so shy (lol), even though I did ask the restaurant manager's permission to take photos of the food. Their service is very good too.

Prawns Vadai

A vadai (alternatively vada, wada, vade), pronounced 'vah-daa' or 'vah-die', is a savoury snack from Tamil Nadu, shaped like a doughnut and made from lentil or potato.I loved eating this as a snack and especially with the prawns on it, it got a crunchy taste.

Yuki Yaki Buffet

Food for the steam boat pot.

I love going to Yuki Yaki restaurant with my family/friends and been there several times.
Each table in Yuki Yaki is equipped with two in-built stoves for steamboat and teppanyaki and each table could sit about four people but of course you could squeeze one or two more but then everyone paid the same price so why squeeze.

They have a wide selection of food items. BBQ items like half shell scallops, mussels, sea cucumber, salmon, prawns, cuttlefish etc and marinated meat items like beef, chicken, lamb, pork etc. Yong Tau Foo items and fresh vegetables and many more for the steamboat pot.

I tried the DIY ice-cream before and do not want to go for it anymore cos the ice-cream is not really ice-cream and hard to make.

In case you want to know where it is:

Price is about $24 (Please double check their price again as price is right at time of printing only.)
