Pulut Hitam (Black Glutinous Rice Sweet Soup) - Cooked with the Thermal Cooker Pot

This is the first time I cooked Pulut Hitam (Black Glutinous Rice Sweet soup/dessert). This is one of my favourite dessert. It is quite easy to cook, except that the rice need soak for a long time .

There's three option to cook this dessert, thermal cooker pot, slow cooker or over the stove. The stove will definitely need a long time to cook and need to keep to keep stirring and watch over it as fear the rice will stick to the pot. I had not try the slow cooker. The thermal cooker pot save electricity and gas, just boil for thirty minutes and let the thermal do the magic.

Raddish, corn, carrot and potato soup using Thermal Cooker Pot

Using my magic Thermal Cooker Pot to cook the raddish, corn, carrot and potato soup. Just dump all the ingredients inside the pot, add water to cover the ingredients, boil for twenty minutes, add salt to taste and place into the outer thermal pot and let it cook by itself for about four hours. Nice flavourful soup ready in four hours and save electricity and gas bill. No messy kitchen too.

Hawkerman at Singpost Centre

This must be my third time to Hawkerman at Singpost Centre. Went there on a weekday afternoon, not many people, as we avoid the lunch and dinner crowd. Nice place to meet friends and chat over popiah. The popiah is really good, huge and lots of fillings. The hokkien mee is nice too but on my third visit, the hokkien mee is a bit salty. The fried chicken parts are good too, very crispy and meaty.

BBQ lunch at Yakiniku Like at Paya Lebar Quarter

Finally, we get to try the BBQ at Yakiniku Like. There's no reservation and we need to take a Queue Number. It was so popular, we need to wait more than 30 minutes even though it was a weekday and non peak hours. Cannot imagine weekend and peak hours, the queue waiting time would be much longer
There's instruction on how to order the food via the handphone.
The menu for the BBQ, we did not order much as there's a 40 minutes only dining time, was quite rush and cannot enjoyed much.

We order the combo of pork, chicken and beef and also wagyu beef. It comes with rice, kimchi or salad and soup. The dipping sauce was good so was the kimchi.
The beef was so good, will come again.
